Terms & Conditions

Carrie Heitman Photography

By booking a session or using this website, you (“the Client”) agree to the following terms and conditions provided by Carrie Heitman Photography (“Photographer,” “we,” or “us”).

1. Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure your session date and time. The remaining balance is due [on or before the session date / as agreed].

  • Dates are not reserved until the retainer is received.

  • Payments can be made via [methods accepted: PayPal, credit card, cash, etc.].

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least [X days] in advance. Your retainer may be transferred to a new date one time.

  • If you cancel entirely, the retainer is non-refundable.

  • In the rare case of photographer illness or emergency, the session will be rescheduled or a full refund will be offered.

3. Image Delivery

  • Proofs or final images will be delivered within an agreed upon date via an online gallery.

  • You will receive an agreed upon amount of fully edited, high-resolution digital images.

  • Any additional edits or image requests may incur a fee.

4. Artistic Style & Editing

  • By booking, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the Photographer’s artistic style and editing techniques.

  • RAW or unedited files are not provided.

  • Minor retouching (exposure, blemishes, color correction) is included. Advanced edits may be available at an additional cost.

5. Copyright & Usage

  • The Photographer retains copyright to all images.

  • Clients are granted a personal-use license to download, print, and share images.

  • Images may not be altered, sold, or used for commercial purposes without written consent.

6. Model Release

  • Unless otherwise requested in writing, the Client grants permission for images to be used by Carrie Heitman Photography for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes.

7. Liability

  • The Photographer is not liable for circumstances beyond their control (weather, location restrictions, late arrival, etc.).

  • Carrie Heitman Photography is not responsible for loss or damage to digital files after delivery.
